Inter Milan have booked their place in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals, drawing 2-2 with Bayern Munich in a rain-soaked thriller to claim a 4-3 victory on aggregate.

In a match filled with drama, intensity, and unpredictable weather, Inter overcame Bundesliga giants Bayern to set up a mouthwatering semi-final clash with FC Barcelona.

Kane, Martinez, and Pavard Headline a Stormy Second Leg
Bayern’s Harry Kane ignited hopes for the visitors with a 52nd-minute equaliser, levelling the aggregate at 2-2. But Inter responded emphatically — goals from Lautaro Martinez (61′) and Benjamin Pavard (64′) flipped the tie back in Inter’s favour.

Former Tottenham defender Eric Dier made it 2-2 on the night with a looping header in the 75th minute, but Bayern could not find the crucial winner to overturn the deficit.

Torrential Rain, Tension & A Terrific Tie
Heavy rain and swirling winds made conditions difficult at the San Siro, but Simone Inzaghi’s men remained composed, displaying resilience that reflects their ambitions for a historic treble.

Already crowned Serie A champions and still in contention in the Coppa Italia, Inter are chasing their first European title since 2010.

Inter’s Redemption Run Continues
Bayern, who had previously won all three of their Champions League away games at San Siro, found themselves outplayed in key moments. A crucial header from Pavard — ironically a former Bayern player — helped seal the tie, while goalkeeper Yann Sommer made a crucial stoppage-time save from Kane to deny Bayern any late heroics.

As the final whistle blew, Inter fans, who had earlier protested rising ticket prices with silence, erupted in jubilation, celebrating their team’s continued European adventure.

Next Stop: Barcelona
Inter now look ahead to a semi-final showdown with Barcelona, rekindling memories of their famous victory over the Catalan giants en route to their 2010 Champions League triumph. With form, momentum, and belief on their side, Inzaghi’s Inter may yet write another golden chapter in their storied history.
