In a statement released by the party’s Central Convening Committee, NCP criticized Israel for resuming airstrikes on Gaza despite a ceasefire agreement, which has led to the deaths of over 400 people, including women and children.
The attacks, which come during the holy month of Ramadan, were described as a continuation of Israel’s long-standing crimes against the Palestinian people.“This attack, which has resulted in the loss of innocent lives, further exacerbates the suffering of the people of Gaza and undermines all efforts toward a peaceful resolution,” the statement read.
NCP highlighted the destruction of infrastructure, blockade of essential aid, and targeting of civilians as part of what it termed Israel’s broader campaign of war crimes.
Echoing the sentiments of the Bangladeshi people, NCP reaffirmed its unwavering support for Palestine. “The youth and people of Bangladesh have stood in solidarity with the Palestinian people, drawing inspiration from their resistance,” the statement noted.Calling for decisive international action, the party urged all peace-loving nations, the United Nations, and global organizations to unite against the occupation.
The statement was signed by Saleh Uddin Sifat, Joint Member Secretary (Office) of NCP.
